The firm’s two founding partners are from Limerick City and our staff come from Limerick City, County Limerick and County Clare. In addition to operating a business we believe that we have a wider role in the community in which we do business. We provide employment to people locally and use the services of local companies and businesses. Where possible we support local businesses.
Each year our firm chooses a specific charity to support. This year our chosen charity is Autism Ireland. We will have a number of events throughout the year and any money raised will be donated to Autism Ireland. On the 30th of April 2017 we will have participants in the Great Limerick Run fund raising for Autism Ireland.
We have sponsored events for Na Piarsaigh GAA Club, Young Munster Rugby Club, Castletroy Golf Club, Pike Rovers F.C. and Ardscoil Rís Past Pupils Union.
We are committed to assisting young people who are determined to pursue a career in law. Over the years we have provided work experience placements to numerous law students who are required to undertake such a placement as part of their course of study. We are committed to providing these students with a very good learning experience. It is our experience that at the end of each placement all of our students express that they have achieved immense learning and greatly enjoyed their time working with us.
We provide some free legal services to certain bodies and charities. Cathal Minihane Solicitor is a volunteer for FLAC (Free Legal Advise Centres). He regularly assists with the Family Law Clinic and the general law clinic in Limerick Citizens Information Centre. Cathal is also Chairperson of the Limerick County Board Hearings Committee which hears disciplinary appeals from GAA players and clubs in County Limerick.
As a mediator Cathal Minihane was a co-founder of South & West Mediation Services, a voluntary organisation providing a mediation service in the local community.
